Plan International UK is a children’s charity that strives to advance children’s rights and equality for girls all over the world.

Their “Because I am a Girl” campaign is a global movement that’s taking action to see a world that values girls, promotes their rights and ends injustice.
They encourage and help children take an active role in finding solutions to their problems and realising their rights and their full potential.
The Plan International UK website is pivotal to the organisation’s communications with the public, and as a means to inform and attract sponsors and supporters. The website is also central to maintaining Plan International UK’s reputation, it’s impact as a charity and developing income. Hosting the site to the highest standard is, therefore a key objective.

The task of ensuring that hosting is delivered consistently at the highest level falls to Tarik Hasan, Plan International UK IT Operations Manager, who has been with the charity for 15 years. Tarik had used dedicated physical servers, load balancer and firewall in a hosting package provided by probably the UK market leader, but had not been happy with the level of service, nor the price. In discussions with their developer, Tarik was introduced to HA, who provided hosting for other leading international charities.
